Originator of idea to repurpose abandoned pipelines (oil, gas, and water) for electric transmission. Former pipeline company President and oil company CEO. Held leadership positions at global energy companies like Marathon Oil Corporation, Marathon International Petroleum (Great Britain), Tellus Petroleum, and Magellan Petroleum.
Alexander “Hap” Ellis (Partner)
Years of energy project development and clean technology venture capital experience, with senior connections at top energy companies, engineering firms, and electric utilities. Led successful combined-cycle gas and wind projects within independent system operator regions: ISO-NE, ECAR, and CAISO (e.g., Maine Independence Station).
Jay Brandeis (Partner)
Early involvement in cleantech start-ups, project development, and mergers and acquisitions. Worked actively with wind and solar initiatives within independent system operator regions: ISO-NE, CAISO, NYISO, and LatAm for First Wind/SunEdison. Additional recent experience in bio-based feedstocks/innovation and green hydrogen (H2) project development.
